It's time to celebrate the success stories of the KKPoker 2025 MARCH MILLIONS event!
With over $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools to play for, thousands of players battled for their share.
On Sunday, 9 March, the $100K GLORY CLASSIC took center stage, with 337 players taking part. For the winner, a $16,855 prize awaited, and the lucky receipent was DZAKE.
KKPoker discussed the epic win with DZAKE, who shared his thoughts on poker, being a professional sportsman and a crucial hand when only 3 players remained.
"desire to compete with the best poker players"
Poker is often a competitive outlet for retired physical sports players. When the days of playing football, rugby, cricket or other team sports become too much for the body, the mind still needs to seek a competiive outlet.
For DZAKE, he enjoys the best of worlds, playing poker for fun and competiting as a professional sportsman.
"I'm a recreational poker player, but a professional athlete at 9pin bowling classic.
"I've been playing poker for maybe 20 years :) I played tournaments with my friends and learned the game.
"I enjoyed the KKPoker community a year ago, and have been a regular player."
What was the biggest reason you played the March Millions?
"The desire to compete with the best poker players and try to win a title. And for the money, of course haha!
"I was able to win my ticket to the $100K GLORY CLASSIC through a STRELA Club satellite tournament."
What were the biggest moments for you in the tournament?
"I started the tournament pretty bad, losing 60bb in the first hand, but I came back quickly and made a good stack. For the next 3 hours I maintained a top 15 stack.
"When there were around 70 players left, I went down to 10bb, but I very quickly doubled up twice within 5 hands!
"When there were 3 players left, I had a 40/60 all in where I hit top pair and had an up and down straight draw. It was KTo vs AQo and the flop fell KQJ, the turn came a T and I lost my chip lead position.
"I got a little tilted in the moment, but the next hand was crucial where I had pocket 77 all in vs QQ and I hit the magic 7!"
FLIP FOR THE TROPHY
In the final hand, DZAKE had a 40BB stack and his opponent had 30BB.
The Button raised to 2BB with 8h 8c and was 3-bet to 6BB with Jd Td. The Button moved all in and DZAKE called.
DZAKE missed on the Kc 9s 5h flop, but picked up additional outs to the straight. The Tc on the turn but DZAKE into the lead, and victory was confirmed on the 5s river.
What advice would you give poker players trying to win a big tournament like the March Millions?
"Just believe in yourself, keep practicing and the run will come eventually! :)"
What are your future plans/goals in poker?
"I would like to play more live tournaments and keep grinding online!"
