The Canadian KKPoker community has crowned a familiar name once again.

Already known for his huge success in the KKPoker $200K GTD Tycoon Mystery Bounty – where he walked away with $49,557 including over $30,000 in bounties – Canadian grinder ‘Carpincho’ has added another prestigious title to his name: Canada’s Best 2025 Champion.

A long-time KKPoker competitor with over a decade of poker experience, ‘Carpincho’ once again proved that consistency, discipline, and community-focused competition can lead to incredible success.

‘Carpincho’ first joined KKPoker in late 2022 through the Alberta-based 780 Poker community. Very quickly, the Canada’s Best Leaderboard format grabbed his attention – the competitive structure, familiar rivalries, and meaningful rewards made it impossible to stay away, and in 2023 he won his first Canada’s Best title!

“I started at the beginning and did not want to miss any weeks. The quarterly leaderboard now pays quite a bit, and if you build a lead, others have to gamble more to catch you.” said Carpincho.

Not only did he win the leaderboard back in 2023, he returned in 2025 with a clear mission:
Win it again.

And he did.

The Grind, Rivalries & Pressure Moments

Canada’s Best isn’t just about showing up – it’s about showing up often, battling strong fields, adapting to leaderboard dynamics, and staying mentally sharp. And 2025 was no exception.

“There are several very good players and it is always a challenge every week. ‘Loudog’ was full steam ahead all year, and even when I had a big lead with a couple months to go, he kept me sweating until the end.”

Rather than prepare in a traditional sense, ‘Carpincho’ leaned on something far more valuable: experience. He’s now deeply familiar with the concept, understands leaderboard pressure, and pays close attention to which players are forced to chase points at specific moments.

Of course, even champions remember the mistakes more than the glory:

“I remember a few mistakes more so than key hands, but I was incredibly lucky at a few final tables, that’s for sure!”

Persistence & Discipline

Winning Canada’s Best is more than just a trophy – it’s about proving you can compete consistantly over the long-term.

“Personally, it just shows persistence. It’s an honor to battle the same familiar names every two weeks.”

As for how he will use the prize money?
More poker. More grinding. More goals.

His eyes are already on the 2026 leaderboard.

For newer players discovering his name for the first time, ‘Carpincho’ already made headlines during the KKPoker Tycoon Mystery Bounty event. On Day 2, he navigated the field on his mobile device while playing a live poker tournament, secured multiple huge bounty pulls including two $5,000 prizes and another over $6,000, and nearly hit the $20,000 top bounty.

“Mystery Bounty tournaments are such a fun sweat… I nearly jumped out of my seat!”

That victory showcased his poker instincts and ability to embrace variance.
