Yuri Ishida hails from Japan but her name is recognized by the global poker community thanks to her amazing poker tournament record and quest for poker flag hunting!

With over $700,000 in recorded poker tournament cashes, Yuri Ishida is ranked in the top 30 Japanese poker players, and even more impressively is currently ranked 4th in the Hendon Mob Global Flag Hunter Leaderboard.

Flag hunting is the pursuit of earning country flags by cashing in live poker tournaments worldwide. Over the past 12 years, Yuri has earned poker tournament cashes in a remarkable 51 countries, and achieved over 20 victories.

In 2012, Yuri kick-started her poker career with a deep run in the WSOP $10,000 Main Event, earning $28,500 in 440th place, and in 2021 she achieved 40th place in the WPT $10,000 Five Diamond World Poker Classic for a $33,500 reward.

Yuri’s biggest single poker tournament cash to date was achieved with a runner-up position at the Asian Pacific Poker Tour event in Macau for $41,000.
