HOW TO PLAY A-5 TRIPLE DRAW?
A-5 Triple Draw is a lowball draw poker format. Unlike Texas Hold’em, where the strongest conventional poker hand wins, this game rewards players for making the lowest five-card hand.
Best hand: A-2-3-4-5 (Known as 5-LOW, or Wheel).
As the name suggests, A-5 refers to the Ace-to-Five lowball ranking system. Aces are low and straights and flushes are ignored.
‘Triple Draw’ means players have three opportunities to draw replacement cards during a hand.
A-5 Triple Draw features a pre-draw betting round, followed by a betting round after each card draw.
BLINDS
Pre-Draw Betting Round: Button, Small Blind, and Big Blind are used. Each player is dealt five cards.
The player to the left of the Big Blind acts first, and the action continues clockwise following traditional poker betting.
Draw Betting Rounds: The active player to the left of the Button acts first, and the action continues clockwise.
CARD DRAWS
After the Pre-Draw betting round, players may discard up to five cards and draw replacements.
In a KKPoker A-5 Triple Draw game, tap the cards you want to discard, then tap the ‘Discard‘ button to confirm. Players can discard any number of cards or choose to discard zero cards by tapping the ‘Stand Pat‘ button.
There are three Card draw betting rounds before any remaining players must showdown their hands to win the pot.
A-5 TRIPLE DRAW HAND RANKINGS
Important to remember in A-5 Triple Draw:
Ace is LOW only.
Straights and Flushes do not apply; therefore, holding A-2-3-4-5 of the same suit is still the strongest hand.
Here are the A-5 Triple Draw game hand rankings from strongest to weakest:
5-LOW: A-2-3-4-5 (Wheel); This pattern continues through King-low, with the lowest possible four supporting cards for each high card.
6-LOW: A-2-3-4-6 (best 6-Low); etc.
7-LOW: A-2-3-4-7; etc.
8-LOW: A-2-3-4-8; etc.
9-LOW: A-2-3-4-9; etc.
10-LOW: A-2-3-4-T; etc.
JACK-LOW: A-2-3-4-J; etc.

Followed by: Pair, Two Pair, Three-of-a-Kind, Full House, Four-of-a-Kind.
A-5 TRIPLE DRAW TIPS
Things to consider as important in A-5 Triple Draw:
Position: An important factor in A-5 Triple Draw, as acting later gives you more information about your opponents’ decisions. In a later position, you can see how many cards your opponents draw and how they bet before deciding how to play your own hand. Use this information to help decide whether to play aggressively, continue drawing, or fold.
Betting Patterns: Watch your opponents’ betting patterns throughout all four betting rounds. A player who bets or raises before a draw and then stands pat may have a strong hand, while a player who continues drawing multiple cards could still be trying to improve. However, these actions don’t guarantee a particular hand. Look for patterns over time and combine them with how many cards your opponents draw to make better decisions.
Aggressive or Passive: Finding the right balance between aggression and caution is key. Betting and raising can put pressure on opponents, build the pot when you have a strong hand, and sometimes win the pot without a showdown. However, being overly aggressive with a weak draw can become expensive. Likewise, playing too passively with a strong hand can mean missing opportunities to get value. Consider your hand strength, position, and opponents’ actions before deciding whether to bet, raise, call or fold
Drawing: Knowing which cards to keep and which to discard is fundamental to A-5 Triple Draw. Aces are particularly valuable because they count as low, and you generally want to build a hand with five different values. Remember that straights and flushes don’t count against you in A-5, so you don’t need to break up a potential straight or avoid suited cards just because of their conventional poker hand rankings.
Pay attention to how many cards you draw at each opportunity. Drawing several cards can help you improve a weak hand, while drawing one card to an already strong hand may give you a better chance of finishing with a competitive low. Standing pat can indicate strength, but consider your opponents’ actions before assuming you’re ahead. Always assess your chances of improving against the hands your opponents may hold.

A-2-3-4-5 is not seen as a straight in A-5 Triple Draw because this game format ignores straights and flushes for hand rankings and showdown purposes.

It means drawing zero cards. You choose to keep all five cards instead of discarding and drawing replacements.
Are there split pots in A-5 Triple Draw?
Yes. If two or more players have equal-value hands at showdown, they split the pot equally. For example, if two players both hold A-2-3-4-5, they share the pot.
However, A-5 Triple Draw is not a high-low split-pot game. The pot is not divided between a high hand and a low hand; the lowest hand wins the entire pot unless there is a tie.

Do discarded cards go back into the deck?
