Jordan, who entered Live Day 2 as the chip leader after winning the final online Day 1 flight, showed skill and determination to hold his advantage and finish with his name at the top of the prize list for a CAD$15,400 reward.
Andrew, who won the title in 2024, put on a brave display in defence of his title, but ultimately had to settle for CAD$12,670 as runner-up.
Taking the final podium spot in third place was a man well-known to the KKPoker community, Vegas Dream winner Sharath Maddur. In the summer, he cashed in the world’s most prestigious live poker main event for US$15,000, and he added another CAD$7,840 to his 2025 winnings at KKLIVE Montreal.

On Saturday 22 November, 2025, KKLIVE Montreal hosted the Main Event live Day 2 at the Plaza Universel, with 35 contenders remaining.
All players had guaranteed themselves a minimum cash prize of CAD$600 after successfully advancing from the KKPoker online Day 1 flights, which gave players the chance to earn their spot in Day 2 every week from September.
Players were also given a free one-night hotel stay and a travel allowance worth up to CAD$600.
Also, on the schedule was the CAD$500 buy-in Charity KO Tournament, with CAD$50 from each buy-in donated to our charity partner Les Racines d’Ena. Trevor ‘LAS-VEGAS’ Delaney came through the field to win CAD$5,380 as champion after he eliminated an impressive 13 opponents.
The 2025 KKLIVE Montreal Main Event final table was set after Katie “AdoraBelle” Marshall became the final unlucky player to miss out on a seat. With the board reading 5♥️ 2♠️ 7♠️ A♣️ 6♥️, Corey Chan moved all in from the small blind for 612k, and after a time bank card was played, Katie made the call.
Her two pair with five-deuce was no good against the straight for Corey with 4♥️ 3♦️. Corey achieved the double up, and Katie was left with a very short stack and was eliminated a few hands later.
After Jake “Gretter99” Ebbett was the first of the final table players to hit the rail in 9th place ($1,830), Corey was the chip leader and looked to continue with his momentum.
KKPoker Canada Star winner Trevor “🃏MojoAnna🃏” Otterson, who recently used his prize money at WSOPC Calgary and recorded a fantastic score of CAD$45,799 in second place, was able to take some chips off the leader Corey. Still, sadly, his run came to an end in 8th place for $2,200.

KKPoker Vegas Dream winner Sharath Maddur then put the pressure on Day 2 chip leader Jordan Banfield. After the latter raised on the Button to 65k, Sharath called from the Big Blind. On the 9♣️ 2♥️ 2♠️ flop, Sharath check-raised from 45k to 100k.
Jordan called to see the Q♣️ turn, which both players checked, and Sharath checked again on the A♠️ river before Jordan bet 90k. Sharath applied maximum pressure and check-shoved for 595k after using a time bank, and Jordan used a time bank himself before electing to fold Ace-King for two pair.
Ryan “FlushTheR1ver4Me” Jensen was left with around 20BB after a big blind v blind battle with Andrew Goosen. Ryan limped from the Small Blind and Andrew raised it up to 105k, then called off quickly when Ryan shoved a covering stack. Andrew had Ace-Jack with 710k at risk against Ace-Three for Ryan, and a Jack on the flop sent Andrew even further to the lead. Ryan turned a wheel draw for some hope, but bricked the river. Ryan was unable to perform a comeback and exited in 7th place ($2,770).
Michael “HaiDoMo” Bach was eliminated in 6th place ($3,500) after his Queen-Eight was dominated by Andrew’s Ace-Eight, and Michael received no help from the board.
Corey Chan was able to get back into the mix with a double up via Jordan, after his King-Queen won a race against Pocket Jacks. Corey flopped his queen and held through the board of Q♦️ 7♥️ 10♥️ 4♠️ 2 ♣️.
Alex “Passive_Menis” Patry was next to be all in and revealed K♠️ T♠️ after Andrew had called with A♥️ J♠️. The board fell 5♦️ 8♣️ 2♥️ 7♦️ Q♦️, meaning Alex was the 5th place finisher for CAD$4,440.
Sharath had been playing less than 10BB since the final break, but he managed to survive with shoves to pick up the Blinds and Antes. However, it wasn’t to last, as he ran into Andrew’s big stack. Sharath revealed T♣️ T♥️ from the Button and Andrew tabled Q♠️ Q♥️ from the Small Blind. The flop fell in dramatic fashion, Q♣️ 9♥️ J♠️, giving Andrew top set and Sharath the up-and-down straight draw. The 3♥️ on the turn changed nothing, and Sharath’s fate was sealed on the 9♣️ river, which only improved Andrew to a full house.
Sharath can be proud once again for achieving great results with KKPoker, taking 3rd place worth CAD$7,840.
The action then resumed heads-up, with Andrew one step away from defending his 2024 title.
Andrew held the lead and started well, but one big hand was about to change the whole trajectory.
Andrew limped on the Button, then called when Jordan raised to 350k. Jordan led for 200k on the 3♥️ A♥️ K♦️ flop. Andrew called to see the J♥️ turn. Jordan fired again, this time 650k, and Andrew called.
The river was 5♦️ and Jordan shoved for 2.1M. Andrew sat still for a minute or so before he slid in the call. Jordan showed A♠️ Q♥️, for top pair, and Andrew slid his hand towards the dealer to muck, after which it was revealed to be Jack-Ten.
Andrew was left short on 350k, and went all in in shortly after when he woke up with Ace-Five. Jordan called it off with Ten-Four, and flopped two pair and held to take down the event and deny Andrew his second straight KKLIVE Montreal title.
Congratulations to Jordan, and a huge thank you to all the KKPoker community for participating. Stay tuned for 2026 live event announcements soon!
