Update March 2026: Unfortunately, the live aspect of this event has been cancelled. Please see below for more information.
KKPoker is delighted to announce that after Prince Edward Island 2024 and New Brunswick in 2025, it’s time to conquer the last piece of the Maritimes—Nova Scotia!
And there’s not long to wait, as the event will take place between 10 – 12 April2026, with online qualification chances starting from 18 January!
Join the exciting KKLIVE Main Event for only CAD$350, and take advantage of our up to CAD$800 Travel allowance.
The online and offline combination event will offer KKPoker players many opportunities to qualify for the LIVE DAY 2 and a guaranteed cash prize. Who will be our next champion after Jordan Banfield earned CAD$15,400 in Montreal during November 2025?!
As per standard event planning procedures, we informed the local authorities of our event plan in January 2026, and no issues were raised. However, last week (March 2026), a representative from the Nova Scotia Alcohol and Gaming Bureau objected to our event and stated that we should not proceed.
Further information was provided to the Bureau, including that no cash would be handled at the venue, and we offered to change the event venue to a premises that does not hold a liquor license. Unfortunately, we were informed that permission to run the event could not be obtained. We are still awaiting information regarding which specific rules we have not complied with.
While we are very disappointed by this decision, compliance is a top priority at KKPoker, and we were forced to cancel.
Please see below the compensation details.

31 players reached ITM, and ultimately, the final three players agreed to a money deal for $7,000+ each, with ‘Rockadown11‘ declared the overall winner!
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND 2024
KKLIVE PEI was next up in April 2024, offering a new location for live poker experiences for the Canadian poker community.
27 players found their way into the money spots in the Live Day 2, with Justin Pinksen defeating Nick Flemming heads-up for the trophy after a heads-up deal was agreed for $17,000 each!
The event was also successful, with CAD$15,000 donated to our charity partners!
MONTREAL 2024
KKLIVE returned to Montreal in November 2024 and created a CAD$92,400 prize pool after 308 online Day 1 entries! 34 lucky players secured a place in the money and came together for the live Day 2 battle.
Among the competitors were David Dongwoo Ko, KKPoker content partner PocketKyles, Vegas Dream winner Christopher Alcindor, and Minoru Oka, who traveled from Japan after qualifying online for Day 2
Ultimately, Andrew ‘thegoose’ Goosen prevailed for CAD$17,318 and forever put his name on the champion’s trophy.
NEW BRUNSWICK 2025
After weeks of online action, live Day 1s and a live Day 2, KKLIVE New Brunswick ended in a four-way deal!
After 2024 KKPoker Canada’s Best champion Dylan Ellis exited in 5th place for CAD$7,800, the final four players agreed to an ICM deal.
Rod Ward (CAD$16,000), Steve Keith (CAD$16,200), Trent Hooper (CAD$16,425) and Jason Chan (CAD$17,000) all secured massive paydays from their CAD$350 buy-in.
KKLIVE New Brunswick achieved a total of 475 entries through online and live Day 1s, creating a CAD$142,500 prize pool.
Jordan, who entered Live Day 2 as the chip leader after winning the final online Day 1 flight, showed skill and determination to hold his advantage and finish with his name at the top of the prize list for a CAD$15,400 reward.
Andrew, who won the title in 2024, put on a brave display in defence of his title, but ultimately had to settle for CAD$12,670 as runner-up.
Taking the final podium spot in third place was a man well-known to the KKPoker community, Vegas Dream winner Sharath Maddur. In the 2025 summer, he cashed in the world’s most prestigious live poker main event for US$15,000, and he added another CAD$7,840 to his 2025 winnings at KKLIVE Montreal.
