The KKPoker Vegas Dream Invitational Poker Tournament saw 18 special guests battle for the right to join the KK Elite Team in Las Vegas for Summer 2024 and win an amazing $13,500 live poker package.
Amidst the seasoned poker players like KKPoker ambassador Paul Carr, Aylar Lie, Dongwoo 'David' Ho, SHUNPOKER, and 2023 Vegas Dream winner Krzysztof Mielnik, a new star emerged. LULA, a poker novice, defied all expectations and was crowned the champion, etching a remarkable underdog story.
As the tournament reached its climax, the tension was high. In the final 3-handed play, LULA found himself in a nerve-wracking situation with A-9s. He raised 3x from the Small Blind, pitted against Aylar Lie, a formidable opponent, in the Big Blind
"She then went all in and covered my stack. Because of her position, she could have any kind of hand range, but she had A-Qs. I thought I would be eliminated, but luck was on my side, and I made a flush on the river." said LULA.
LULA may have learned the ropes of online poker at a rapid pace, but he admits his preparations for live poker in Las Vegas need to speed up.
"I've only played live poker once. I will go to poker clubs in my city more often, and I've been studying a lot with friends.
"Going to Vegas is the dream of almost everyone, especially those who play poker. Winning in Vegas would be life-changing for me and my family,".
PUBG PROFESSIONAL TO POKER PROFESSIONAL?!
With his great success in games such as Truco and PUBG, will LULA now be looking to make an even bigger name for himself in poker? And how does he see the transition?
"Well, PUBG is a very complex game with huge maps. You need to be constantly aware of everything happening around the entire map. In poker, it's no different; concentration and decision-making are crucial for success.
"Here in Brazil, we play a lot of card games. It's essential to know how to bluff and read your opponents. I've been a Truco champion in my city, and I always play with my friends.
"I started playing $0.25 poker SNGs because they're faster, and you can even win without much experience. KKPoker's VIP card feature also helped me learn, as it allows you to see your opponent's statistics.
